Myrtle Beach, SC

We are on our first official family vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC. Mumma and Daddy thought they would take us somewhere extra fun and exciting before the baby comes, which, is only in about 7 weeks now.

The vacation started out great with another airplane ride and then we checked into our sweet condo. We even got to see Uncle Ben, Aunt Wendy, and Wes for a little bit before they left for back home. We can hear and see the ocean right outside on our balcony! All Elliot and I have to say is that this place is AWE-SOME!!! There are so many fun kid things to do here at the resort....as a matter of fact, we haven't even left the resort yet! One of my favorites is the lazy river (actually all 3 lazy rivers!), I could just float all day long in this pool. Of course a second fav is the beach and running into the waves in the ocean. Elliot likes doing that too, but the waves are a bit too strong for him and he usually ends up on the ground when the waves come in. Daddy and me went down a big water slide, played some shuffleboard and lots of other fun things while Elliot was napping. Stay tuned for some more pictures from our great family vacation!

The First "Myles"stone

I had my preschool graduation ceremony - we sang a couple songs and then got our "diplomas". My Grammy and Grampy came to see me on my special day too. Can you believe that in just a few months I will be riding a big yellow school bus and going to young 5's!?

I also included a couple of pictures from my Morning with Moms Day at preschool a couple of weeks ago. It was my turn for the "sharing bag" (aka for you old timers, show and tell). I took a wooden train that me and Mumma glued together and then painted. All of my friends thought it was pretty sweet. That's my teacher Mrs. Sward in the picture(s) with me.

Boys Will Be Boys

Daddy took me to the this sweet hobby shop one afternoon to look at all the kewl "toys". (I really think that Daddy wanted to go to the hobby shop, cuz honestly, there weren't very many toys for me there!) He did buy me a rocket that flies super high up in the air when you jump on a launch pad - I don't think Mumma was impressed. :)

I also got a new big kid bike! It's a Hot Wheels bike....and it even came with handlebars that you can "rev up" like a car. How sweet is that!? I was so excited to see my bike arrive in the mail that I opened the box and got all of the pieces out myself for Daddy to put together.

Elliot's First (professional!) Haircut

I guess I finally got through to my Mother after the last hack-job a haircut that she and my Dad gave me to take me to a professional!!! I was totally kewl with the haircut thing, even the clippers until Jill (my hairdresser) got out this crazy thing to trim the back of my neck. I wanted nothing to do with that thing and had to end my haircut just a bit early (as you will see in the picture below!). Mumma says I don't look like a baby anymore now that I have my new haircut. ....ah, hello, I'm NOT a baby anymore Mumma! :)

There, now doesn't this haircut look much better than my other hack-job haircuts!?

Elliot's Found His Groove

Well, he's found something alright, but I'm not so sure it should really be called a groove!! :) Grammy got us this quacking Easter duck that he just loves to dance along with. Just like me, it looks like Elliot has inherited our Daddy's rhythm and dance moves (or really, lack thereof!).

Happy Easter!

We went to Uncle Tim & Aunt Becki's house for Easter dinner this year. The drive to get there sure is long, but I guess that's not such a bad thing since Elliot and I get to watch movies just about the entire trip there (and back)! :) The weather was very windy, but nice to be outside so we had an Easter egg hunt. Elliot and I both had a great time playing with our cousins and seeing the rest of the family.

Ah....Springtime

Ahh...the nice warm air, bright sun, and faint smell of poo outside (from the farms down the street). Elliot and I just love being outside. Elliot is quite the adventurer (as if that should come as any big surprise to anyone). All he wants to do is hang with me and Mason, but we're too fast and he just can't keep up. He still has a good ole time playing with his "car" and on his swing.

Arizona 2010

We took our second family trip to AZ last weekend to visit Grandpa JT and Grandma Mary. It was fun, well, except for the weather.... it was nicer in Michigan than it was in Arizona! What!? We did have one nice 80 degree day but got rained out the rest of our trip. And by rained out, I mean RAINED out!!! But we still had a good time. We visited a train park and a wild animal zoo where I got to take a ride on a ski lift above all the animals.

Another Brother for Me and Elliot

Well, I was completely speechless when Mumma and Daddy told me that I wasn't going to have a baby sister. Really....I had nothing to say. I wanted a baby sister so bad, but I guess another brother will be okay too. He better not take my toys like Elliot does though! :)

Another K Wings Hockey Game

We all got to go to another K Wings hockey game - and I just LOVE going!!! I'm not so crazy about the loud siren when we get a goal, but watching the game (and Slappy - the mascot) is awesome!!! I totally have my game face on. Elliot really likes going too - he will sit and watch almost the entire game. Although I think the popcorn kept him in his seat too. :) This time I got an autographed hockey puck from Slappy - dude....that was the bomb. Next to my Thomas the Train ride of course.

Snow, Beautiful Snow!!

Finally, we got some more snow!!! I could play in this stuff all day long!!! Elliot likes to come outside with us, but I don't think he likes the snow as much as I do.... probably because he can't really walk around in it. :) Although this time, Daddy put me to work shoveling. They even bought me a kid-sized snow shovel. Whassup with that!? ... aaahhhh, people.., I do not come outside to work in the snow, I come out to play!!! :)

Happy Valentine's Day

I had a valentines party at preschool and Mumma and Elliot came to help. Well. honestly, Elliot didn't really "help" much, but he had fun. We played "Kiss the Frog", decorated cookies, and made some kewl tic tac toe crafts.

Elliot is 18 Months

Holy cow.....where does the time go!? I know it's been a while since we have updated our blog, but I'm busy ya know. Places to go, people to see......

Elliot had is 18 month check up and I thought I would pass along his stats. Well, as you could guess, he's just like me, a shrimp. The doctor said he is "barely hanging onto the 3rd percentile for weight" at 21.06 pounds and is in the 10 percentile for height at 31 1/2 ". So he's a shrimp, but a healthy one. He did have an ear infection in his right ear (so much for the ear tubes he had put in not even 6 months ago!) and is getting over a cold.

I am doing great! I still love preschool and am learning a lot of different things. I will start a whiffleball class in a couple of weeks, and I am really looking forward to that!

Mumma is feeling great - she is now 4 months pregnant and we will get to find out the gender of the baby in just a few weeks!! .....and it better be a girl!!! I already have a name picked out for her, Super Girl. It's hard for me to wait to see the baby and I ask Mumma just about every day if the baby will come today. :)
