So Many New Things

Look at my new chair!!! Mumma & Pappa says I look like a Ralph Lauren baby model in this picture... whatever that means. I'm a little to small for my chair this year, but you wait, boy oh boy, next year I will be rockin'!

I got to go see this really big lake called Lake Michigan last weekend. There were lots of people, and sand, and a really really big lake, with big waves. My Mumma was a drag and wouldn't let me go swimming though, she says the water is too cold. ...whatever! We took our family picture on the beach, but because there was so many new things for me to see, who cares about pictures!!! Thanks Uncle Dave for taking the pictures!! I will show you them later.

Mr. Whiskers

Hey it's Mr. Whiskers (aka my Grampy). He has this funny prickly stuff on his face that I like pulling! ...and Grampy makes funny noises when I do! It's kinda like Mummas hair, but there's not as much to grab onto and it's really pokey!

He's pretty good at this feeding thing; he makes these really kewl airplane sounds when he feeds me.

Happy Father's Day Pappa!

It was my Pappas birthday and Father's Day; he had to work alot over the weekend, but when he got home we had a great time together. I got to go swimming in my pool, help with the grill, play with my doggy Higgins, and go for a long walk. Best of all I got to help unwrap all of Pappa and Grampys presents! Boy was that fun!!!

My New Ride

See my sweet new ride! It was a nice day out so I had my Moms drop the top so I could enjoy the sunshine (with plenty of sunscreen on of course!).

Where's the Milk!?

So check it out.... My Moms gives me my OWN bottle with handles and this strange nipple - the liquid just flows out. I tell ya something else, that wasn't my milk in there either! I guess it was this cold stuff called water. I'm not quite sure how to deal with this stuff. I had a little at trouble at first keeping the bottle upright, cuz otherwise the water goes all over me and the couch (see next to me in the picture!). Higgins didn't mind me spilling the water! :)

I'm 8 months old today!!!

YO YO YO...

Whut up G!? Mumma got me these kickin' new shades for me to wear. Sometimes when we go outside for walks or when I go swimming it is sooooo bright, I guess these things are supposed to help block out some of that bright light. When Mumma first put them on me, I was like... whoa... what is this? But after a few minutes I got used to them, and actually, I think it's pretty funny when I wear them.

Now I get it....

Ha ha! I finally get it.... all this funny tasting stuff that my Mumma and Pappa keep pushing into my mouth is called food and you eat it! Not all of it tastes so bad, but I'm still not so sure about those things called Pears. YUCK! As a matter of fact, some of this food is so good that I eat just about the entire container. Last night I had some really sweet stuff called Applesauce, and boy o boy was that good! I also really like bananas! Everyone still laughs at me when I "chew" my food, and I don't know why, because if they would take a look in a mirror, they chew their food too.

All of this food must be good for me since I am now over 18 pounds and have six teeth (four on top and two on bottom). I think it's pretty funny to chomp down on Mumma and Pappas fingers when they let me. Well I just thought I would let you know that now that I know what you're supposed to do with this stuff called food.... I just can't get enough!

Art in the Park

Last weekend, I got to go to this really kewl festival called Art in the Park. I got to see so many different things and people! Lots and lots of people! There was a lot of neat sculptures, paintings, and jewelry all made by local artists (well, that's what Mumma told me anyway). Best of all, I got a "free ride" on Daddys back! It was a long day for me so I decided to take a nap right in my backpack. I sure did have a good time!

Dinner Time!

Each night my Mumma and Pappa set me in my high chair at the dinner table with them when they eat. I just love to watch them eat...why do they move their mouth?? I don't have to do that with my food... Oh well, I guess I will do what they do when they eat....

I got to see my Uncle Ben and Aunt Wendy over the holiday weekend too. I like it when Uncle Ben holds me becuase he lifts me waaay up high in the air.

A Hard Days Work

I had a super fun weekend! I got to go swimming, and for my first "tooner", and see lots of boats. I got so pooped out that I just had to take a nap. Good thing Grammy was there to rock me to sleep.

This is great!! It's just like bathtime but there's much more room to splash around! My Great Grandma Jean bought me a pool so I can go swimming. And boy oh boy did I have fun! I was nice and shared my water with everyone around me too....

There's a New Captain in Town

Wow - Mumma & Pappa took me on this big boat called a pontoon. ...it's the best place to take a good long nap! Pappa even let me drive! Because I'm still little, I had to wear this thing called a life preserver, which at first I wasn't too sure about, but after while I got used to it and didn't even know it I was wearing it. Grammy and I had so much fun playing peekaboo on our "tooner" (that's what you call it when you go for a pontoon ride).

Where are my pants?

I tell ya, there are so many new things that I am seeing for the first time! Where did my pants go!? All of a sudden I'm really warm and Mumma gets me dressed but forgets to put my pants on! Well, she later told me that these are called shorts. Now that it's warmer outside I can wear shorts instead of my long pants. She also told me that soon I will be able to go splash around in a super big bathtub called a lake!!! Yippie! Boy o' boy am I looking forward to that!

Sweet Potatoes...then a bath!

What is this stuff these people continue to feed me!? YUCK!!! Don't they get it...all I want is my milk! ...and now!!! I have my tricks to get them to stop shoveling this smelly stuff into my mouth though... I just close my mouth shut and won't open it again! Sometimes Mumma and Pappa pull a fast one on me when I do open my mouth they put this stuff right in my mouth.

I sure do make a mess when they try to feed me this stuff, so right away - into the bathtub (or kitchen sink) I go! I like splashing around and getting Mumma & Pappa all wet! They think it's pretty funny too...

Grandmas & Grandpa

Last weekend I also got to see my Grandpa John & Grandma Mary; they live in Arizona so I don't get to see them very often. Great Grandma Tomlinson, Great Aunt Carla & Great Unlce Rick also came to Uncle Erics and Aunt Jens to see Mumma, Pappa, and me. We had sooo much fun! I got to sit outside on the patio for a long time - that was my first time being outside. Pappa got pretty sunburned because he didn't put on his sunscreen. Grandpa John found out how quick my little hands can be when I helped myself to his carrot cake! :)

Me & My Cousin

It's me and my cousin Kate!! I finally got to meet her last weekend. She was born April 14, 2006. She's still pretty little and just kinda lays around right now, but before you know it we will be running around together causing all sorts of mischief!

My First Blog

Well, I got this idea from my buddy (and neighbor) Mason. He has had a blog since he was born in January 2006 and I thought it was pretty kewl, so I thought I would give it a try (along with Mumma and Pappas' help of course). Good thing my Pappa is sucha computer geek and my Mumma is so SMART to help me get started with this project! :)

For those of you not familiar with a "blog" (which is kinda slang for Web Log) it's really just an electronic diary. My Mumma was telling me that when she was little she had a little book that had a lock and key and she would write down her thoughts and days. Well - this is the new version of that! It takes me a long time to type since my fingers are so small, so I just tell Mumma what I want to say and she types for me! :)
