4th of July 2008

This year for our annual July 4th theme party, we had a fiesta! Apparently there was lots of yummy Mexican food, beer, and margaritas, but I thought it would be best to stick my comfort foods... corn dogs! Although I did eat two taquitos that were pretty yummy! Oh, and of course ate the candy that fell out of the pinata! :)

Rainbow

One stormy and sunny afternoon, we got to see this pretty rainbow out our back door. If you look really close, there are actually two rainbows there.

My First Dentist Visit

So Mindy (Masons Mumma) calls Mumma one morning and thinks it would be "fun" for Mason and I to go to the dentist (Masons Daddy) for a "teeth cleaning". I have no idea what these two chicks were thinking, cuz the words "fun" and "dentist", just don't jive in my book. There was no way they were gonna stick some squirt gun, slurping straw, or loud scary tooth polisher in MY mouth! ....dude, do they just think I'm totally stupid or what!? I did finally let Steve, I mean Dr. Ray, brush my teeth with my new Chick Hicks (from Cars) toothbrush.

The chair that goes up and down was pretty kewl....
....and the BEST part about going to the dentist..... well, other than leaving, the toy chest at the end of the visit! :)

Sprinkler Time

Mason and I got to play in the sprinklers one very warm day last week. Masons awesome beach ball sprinkler totally makes my cheap garage sale fire hydrant sprinkler look wwhhhay lame..... After we were shivering from running through freezing cold hose water, we got ice cream sandwiches, mmmmmm......

come on water ....any time now....

Happy Father's Day

My Dad has taught me so many kewl things.... like how to fix stuff (well, kinda), how to take care of the yard, and most important how to grill (minus the beer of course). He has also taught me how to laugh after you toot (Mumma isn't so happy about that one) and he also introduced me to monster trucks. :)
Just like I did for Mumma, I also made a very special card for Daddy at school (the tool box). Mumma helped me color my card to Daddy this year, but next year, I'm gonna do it all by myself! I gave Daddy his card first thing when I woke up in the morning..... oh, and my present to Daddy (and Mumma) was sleeping in until 7:30 AM!!!!

Duck Pond

I had my third Duck Pond (formerly known as the Fishin' Hole) photo shoot. This year I was pretty excited about my photo shoot cuz now they have real live baby ducks that swim around while I get my picture taken. (Well, actually, they had the baby ducks last year too, but I wasn't too sure of those fuzzy little things back then!) They were soooo cute! They were only 2 days old when I had these pictures taken by Boyce Photography.

Fishin'

All weekend long, all I wanted to do was go fishin'..... (why...??? I don't know, I just did!). So Mumma found me a fishin' pole just my size and my Grandpa hooked me up (get it.... hooked me up) with some real worm bait and showed me how to cast and reel in a big fish. I caught four fish on first trip out. I didn't like it much when the fish was out of the water, so I made sure Grandpa put them back in the water right away. Happy Mother's Day

I made a very special card for Mumma at school this week. It was pretty fun making it, cuz I got to make my handprint with paint! We couldn't really do much outside for Mother's Day (it rained all day long) so I gave Mumma an extra present and took a 4 (yes, that is a 4) hour nap. Mason and I got our Mummas a bench to sit outside and watch us on the playset. Daddy and Steve (that's Masons Dad) got them a matching bench for us. I'll show you some pictures once we can actually go outside when it's not pouring rain!

Emmas Birthday Party

I went to my friend Emmas 2nd birthday party at the park today. Boy was it fun! I got to play with all of my friends. I was still on my fearless streak and even better my Dad wasn't there to get all paranoid about me climbing and slow me down! (Sorry Dad....) But Mumma was there to make sure that I looked like a total geek and put my hood up cuz it got kinda chilly at lunch time. I tell ya, I just can't win with these parents of mine.... :)

We had pizza and of course birthday cake (well at least the frosting off the birthday cake).

Fearless

Well, as you probably already know, I'm a pretty well...., let's say "cautious" kid.... It must have been the Wheaties (or fried egg) that I had for breakfast, but today I decided I was fearless!!! I climbed, went down the slide, jumped, you name it - I did it! I need to practice my slide dismount though - I usually just end up on my butt on the ground. I think I gave my Dad a bit of a heart attack with my new found fearlessness....

Okay, so my teeth were still chattering when I was swimming in my pool at the lake, but boy o' boy did it feel good!!! We even got to go for the first pontoon (aka "tooner") of the year.

Yehp, even Thomas the Tank Engine underpants!!! I still refuse to use the potty though; I think this is yet another futile attempt by my Mom to try to get me to be a big boy and use the potty. HA!!! Although in my defense, just to make my Mom get off my back, I did sit on the big potty and actually go pee last weekend. I figured I should at least throw her a bone or something.... :)

My New Train Table

.... after all this time of playing with my trains on the floor, I finally got a new train table! Well, it's not actually new.... one of Mummas friends found the table and alot of new track pieces at a garage sale. Who cares, it looks brand new to me!
