Van Buren County Youth Fair

Mumma told me that if I take a good nap, then I could go to the fair.... So, I ran upstairs into my bed and did just that! It was a kewl fair (but not as kewl as the Centreville fair!) with rides, tractors, animals and games. We all had a great time. Dude...I even got to eat french fries for dinner....can you believe that!? Elliot had a good time just watching all the people and rides go around and around. I don't think he really like me wearing this fire fighters helmet though.... :) Oh, and if you can't tell in the pictures, yes our Mother dressed us the same (again). Although at least this time our shirts are pretty kewl....

Happy 1st Birthday Elliot!!!!

Can you believe that I am ONE!? I must be extra special because I got to have two birthday parties! Well, actually, I really don't care much for the birthday party hype, except for the cake. Dude....this stuff is awesome!!!! My brother was, eh hem.... "nice enough" to help me open some of my presents and show me how they work. Which really I guess was fine, since all I wanted to do was play with the empty box/bag. :)

I still only have 4 teeth (two on top and two on bottom) and weight almost 19 pounds. I will go for my one year check up in a few weeks so I will be sure to get you all my stats then. I am still just crawling around (although am quite good at it, if I do say)....don't even think about having my feet touch the ground! I babble all the time, particularly more so when I want someones' attention. :)

Me and Elliot had a good ole' time taking a car ride around the patio. Elliot thinks this ride is pretty sweet, but dude, he has no clue how this Cozy Coupe is compared to my sweet Jeep! I guess it's okay that he likes this lame Fred Flintsone car, that way he won't get any ideas about takin' my ride.

Christmas in July

Yehp, that's what I said.... we had Christmas in July! This is our second year of having a Tomlinson family get together (in July instead of December) at Sand Point (on Saginaw Bay). My Grandpa JT and Grandma Mary came all the way from Arizona to see us. We also got to see my Great Grandma T and lots of Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. I LOVED playing in the sand and in the "big lake"! The water was just a bit on the well... freezing side, but that didn't stop me! Elliot had a blast digging and eating the sand and loved the water just as much as I did. (Click the collages to view a larger size.)
While we were there, we also had a first birthday party for Elliot. He was feeling just a bit under the weather, but still managed to smash up and eat his birthday cake. :)

Well, actually, I have been pretty good with Elliot touching and playing with my toys. Let's see how I am when he starts fighting back instead of just screaming and getting me in trouble with Mumma....

Happy 4th of July!!

So I totally stole this collage idea from my cuz, Wes. We had a great time at the lake this year. I took a GREAT nap on Saturday so I got to stay up and watch the fireworks. They were kewl, but pretty loud. Elliot, Wes, and I all had a great time splashing in the water. But I was the only kid big enough to go swimming in the lake. The water was freezing (or so Mumma thinks), but I did think so I played and played and played! This year our annual theme was "All-American" and was pretty laid back.... but we decided next year is going to be a big party, so stay tuned for 2010!

Mad Science

I am so pumped about science that after watching Sid the Science Kid, Daddy and me went right to the store to buy a pulley. Daddy hooked that puppy up to my new playset and I have been using it ever since. Elliot even likes to play with me. Good think I didn't ask Daddy to get me a lever (which I also learned about in the program). :)


I went to another Mad Science playgroup and this time we got to learn about chemical reactions and got to make our own silly puddy to take home.

A VERY Rare Event

A very rare event occurred just the other day. You have to look very closely at the picture and you will see...... a sleeping boy. Yehp, I've heard of this thing happening on very rare occasions and Mumma just happened to catch it on camera. :)

Tennis Lessons

I found a new sport.... tennis! Mumma had me visit a very nice lady named Kathy and she is teaching me how to play tennis. I am also taking a class at the Y. So far I am learning a lot, but don't expect any Jon McEnroe moves just yet. :)

Kalamazoo Klassic 1K Run

Mumma was so proud..... of herself!!! Yehp, that's right, she just couldn't stop talking about herself at MY race. :) She was just so excited because SHE actually finished the 1K kids race with me. Geez Mother... what's the big deal? I ran the race with of course Mumma and Mason and his Mumma. I ran the ENTIRE way (up two big hills too I might add) and finished the race in 8 minutes and 59 seconds. Mumma was a good sport but keeps saying something about having to get into shape if she wants to be able to keep up with me.

Now that I am crawling all over the place, I guess Mumma felt bad for me and my knees so she invented this hillbilly knee protector for me. Hey..... don't laugh, it works! :)

Our New Playset

We have the best Dad in the entire world.... not only did he buy us a new playset of our own, he worked all day in the rain to build it for us! Daddy did a GREAT job and did the entire thing all by himself. Well, actually, I helped a little.... (not really). But, I did a good QA/QC inspector as Daddy got the playset built. :) Thanks a million Daddy! You rock!!!! Oh, I should also give a shout out to Mumma since she was the one who sealed the entire playset.

Tumble Bus

I thought I would show you the tumble bus that I go on every Tuesday at school.... I'm sure you have heard me talk about it. I do all sorts of tumbling and gross motor skill development. Good thing Mumma works part time to pay for all of my activites! Thanks, Mumma...

Cruisin'

....low and slow.... (a quote from one of my favorite movies Cars). Me and Lily decided to go out cruisin' one sunny afternoon. But she's the kinda gal that doesn't want the low and slow ride....if she could talk, it would rather be, put the pedal to the metal and punch it!!! And, I had better do what she says (or rather wants!) cuz she's got about the same size as me but is almost 2 years younger. My BFF Mason got a John Deere tractor to drive so we can now have drag races in the cul de sac. :) Sweet, huh...

Battle Scar....

Welhp, I got my first official wound at daycare yesterday.... I was just minding my own business in the jumperoo, when all of a sudden some kid comes over and lays his chompers into me! WHAT!? ...dang...what did I do!? My teacher Miss Bridgette said I was pretty tough, but they were sure to give me lots of TLC.

On the Move

Okay, so I'm a little behind the times on mobility, but Mumma said something about "not encouraging it this time".... Well, really I was on the move a while ago rolling all over the house - but now I'm figuring out a better way! It's still wwhhaay faster to roll than crawl, so I don't think I will give that up just yet. I guess Mumma better start picking up this house a little better now that I'm on the move. :)
