Tractor Ride

....sound familiar at all??? Those were about the first words of my mouth, and it looks like they might be the same for Elliot too! Just like me, he LOVES to go on a tractor ride, and I like it too, cuz then I get to drive (because Daddys hands are full!).

Mmmmm.... Birthday Cake!!!

Day out with Thomas

I think I have had the BEST day EVER.... Mumma, Daddy, Elliot, and Grammy and Grampy took me to the Day out with Thomas at the Huckleberry Railroad in Flint. Seriously, this was the kewlest thing I have seen. There were many different things to see/do like a tattoo station, train tables galore, storytelling, Sir Topham Hatt, inflatable jumers, bubbles, I could go on and on.... It was soooo hot, but that didn't slow me down. I was still so excited on the way home that I didn't even take a nap and would not be quiet! I think Elliot had a good time and was a trooper for being in the hot stroller all day.

Kalamazoo County Fair

We went to the Kalamazoo County fair one sunny (super!) hot afternoon. I just LOVE going to fairs. Elliot likes them too, but all he can really do now is people watch (and who doesn't like to people watch at a fair!?). I got to pet a piglet that was just one day old. I ate some yummy french fries and the best part....yehp.... the rides!!! I'll let you guess from the pictures below which was my favorite ride.... :)

Here Comes Trouble

Boy have I had some busy days lately.... Crawling from room to room, pulling myself up to get into anything possible, oh, and then there's the bottom drawer of the kitchen island where Mumma stores these awesome loud clangy things (aka metal lids).

I had my ear tubes put in on Aug 5 (see picture below), and so far, so good! I have been ear infection free since mid July!!!! A new record for me. I did great during my procedure, but was a bit cranky for a few hours following. But by the end of the day, I was back to my happy go lucky self.

Are You Sure We're Brothers, Mumma???

Well, here we are.... each ONE year old. I think Elliot looks totally buff in his one year picture! Elliot is now 19 pounds and 29 inches, which moves him up to the 10% percentile for weight and 25% for height. His one year check up went great and he is now pulling himself up and standing (which as you may recall, for him, is a pretty big step seeing as how he wouldn't even let his feet touch the ground a week ago!). When I turned one, I weight 18.4 pounds and was 28 inches, so I guess in that regard...we ARE brothers. :)

Van Buren County Youth Fair

Mumma told me that if I take a good nap, then I could go to the fair.... So, I ran upstairs into my bed and did just that! It was a kewl fair (but not as kewl as the Centreville fair!) with rides, tractors, animals and games. We all had a great time. Dude...I even got to eat french fries for dinner....can you believe that!? Elliot had a good time just watching all the people and rides go around and around. I don't think he really like me wearing this fire fighters helmet though.... :) Oh, and if you can't tell in the pictures, yes our Mother dressed us the same (again). Although at least this time our shirts are pretty kewl....

Happy 1st Birthday Elliot!!!!

Can you believe that I am ONE!? I must be extra special because I got to have two birthday parties! Well, actually, I really don't care much for the birthday party hype, except for the cake. Dude....this stuff is awesome!!!! My brother was, eh hem.... "nice enough" to help me open some of my presents and show me how they work. Which really I guess was fine, since all I wanted to do was play with the empty box/bag. :)

I still only have 4 teeth (two on top and two on bottom) and weight almost 19 pounds. I will go for my one year check up in a few weeks so I will be sure to get you all my stats then. I am still just crawling around (although am quite good at it, if I do say)....don't even think about having my feet touch the ground! I babble all the time, particularly more so when I want someones' attention. :)

Okay.... so I'm guessing that not many (if any) of you actually got those words, but think of the 80's one hit wonder Vanilla Ices' song Ice Ice Baby. Okay, now go back and re-read, or better yet, sing the words. :)

Me and Elliot had a good ole' time taking a car ride around the patio. Elliot thinks this ride is pretty sweet, but dude, he has no clue how this Cozy Coupe is compared to my sweet Jeep! I guess it's okay that he likes this lame Fred Flintsone car, that way he won't get any ideas about takin' my ride.

Christmas in July

Yehp, that's what I said.... we had Christmas in July! This is our second year of having a Tomlinson family get together (in July instead of December) at Sand Point (on Saginaw Bay). My Grandpa JT and Grandma Mary came all the way from Arizona to see us. We also got to see my Great Grandma T and lots of Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. I LOVED playing in the sand and in the "big lake"! The water was just a bit on the well... freezing side, but that didn't stop me! Elliot had a blast digging and eating the sand and loved the water just as much as I did. (Click the collages to view a larger size.)
While we were there, we also had a first birthday party for Elliot. He was feeling just a bit under the weather, but still managed to smash up and eat his birthday cake. :)

Well, actually, I have been pretty good with Elliot touching and playing with my toys. Let's see how I am when he starts fighting back instead of just screaming and getting me in trouble with Mumma....

Happy 4th of July!!

So I totally stole this collage idea from my cuz, Wes. We had a great time at the lake this year. I took a GREAT nap on Saturday so I got to stay up and watch the fireworks. They were kewl, but pretty loud. Elliot, Wes, and I all had a great time splashing in the water. But I was the only kid big enough to go swimming in the lake. The water was freezing (or so Mumma thinks), but I did think so I played and played and played! This year our annual theme was "All-American" and was pretty laid back.... but we decided next year is going to be a big party, so stay tuned for 2010!

Mad Science

I am so pumped about science that after watching Sid the Science Kid, Daddy and me went right to the store to buy a pulley. Daddy hooked that puppy up to my new playset and I have been using it ever since. Elliot even likes to play with me. Good think I didn't ask Daddy to get me a lever (which I also learned about in the program). :)


I went to another Mad Science playgroup and this time we got to learn about chemical reactions and got to make our own silly puddy to take home.

A VERY Rare Event

A very rare event occurred just the other day. You have to look very closely at the picture and you will see...... a sleeping boy. Yehp, I've heard of this thing happening on very rare occasions and Mumma just happened to catch it on camera. :)
